Stand in Solidarity
When you sign the solidarity pledge, you are joining thousands of other people from across the country who are ready to show up for each other. We are committed to supporting you to take peaceful, and Constitutionally-protected, action in your community by offering training, coaching, and materials you can use in your own context.
Context
Our country is no longer on the brink of an attempted far right authoritarian takeover; we are in the midst of one. By sending ICE and the military into our communities to kidnap our neighbors, detain children, repress free speech - the Trump regime is disregarding the most deeply held and important democratic freedoms of our country. This cruelty and violence goes against not only our laws and morals, but also our vision for a future where all people can live safely and peacefully.
This is not just a fight about all of us. This is a generation-defining fight for the future of our country and our shared values of love and freedom.
While the Trump regime attempts to seize power through violence and fear, our communities have begun to come together in solidarity. Everyday heroes in our schools, hospitals, universities, libraries, and courtrooms are acting with profound courage; standing up, speaking truth and showing that, with courageous peaceful action, together, we can defend our communities and our values.
The time is now. We must come together. We must reach deep into our hearts, into the courageous wells of our ancestors, and choose solidarity. We must choose to take care of each other.
Solidarity is the foundation of a future rooted in love, freedom, and community.
What's needed in this moment of crisis is for us to join together and to reject violence, impunity and mass detention and deportation in our communities.
If you’re ready to show up - join us. Take the pledge.
We will not be silent in the face of brutality. We will be the light in the face of darkness.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." - Martin Luther King Jr.
